Frequently Asked Questions

Our shed windows are securely packaged using protective foam, corner guards, and sturdy boxing to prevent damage during transit. In the rare case of shipping damage, just let us know—we'll replace it at no cost to you.

Ensure your shed window opening has proper structural support for a smooth, secure fit. Check that the corners are square (right angles) to prevent misalignment and that the frame is level and plumb so the window slides properly.

For the perfect fit, measure the rough opening—the space where you plan to install the window. Make sure you measure:

  • Width: From stud to stud (or frame edge to frame edge) at the top, middle, and bottom. Use the smallest measurement.
  • Height: From the bottom to the top framing at both sides and in the centre. Again, use the smallest measurement.
  • Depth: Check that your shed wall profile (e.g., Corro, Trimdeck) is compatible with the window's cladding allowance (up to 29mm deep).

Our shed windows are designed to fit standard steel shed profiles. If unsure, check your shed manufacturer's specifications or contact us for guidance.

We offer 11 standard shed window sizes, ranging from 790h x 1274w to 1200h x 2040w, designed to suit most sheds and industrial buildings. Custom sizes aren't available, but our standard range covers the most common applications.

Yes! Our sliding shed windows are built for safety, featuring:

  • Toughened glass options for added strength.
  • Security screens and grills to deter intruders.
  • A self-latching handle to keep windows securely closed.

For extra security, consider pairing your window with a heavy-duty security screen.

Installing shed windows is quick and straightforward:

  1. Prepare the opening: Ensure it's square, level, and the correct size.
  2. Position the window: Fit it into the opening, ensuring an even gap around the frame.
  3. Secure the window: Use screws to fasten it in place, hiding fixings behind the trim bead.
  4. Seal the edges: Apply weatherproof sealant to prevent leaks.

You can install your shed windows yourself or get a tradie to ensure everything's properly sealed and working smoothly.

For a watertight seal, follow these steps:

  1. Choose a quality sealant: Look for a weatherproof, UV-resistant option.
  2. Apply evenly: Run a continuous bead around the window frame where it meets the shed wall.
  3. Smooth and set: Use a tool or your finger to smooth the sealant, ensuring full coverage.
  4. Let it cure: Allow time to dry thoroughly before exposing it to weather.

Clean the glass and frame regularly with mild detergent and water. Ensure the tracks are free of dirt for smooth operation.
